Laurie Tyrol

Laurie is the founder and owner of Bean & Dot. A single Mother to one beautiful girl and originally from New York, NY (born in Brooklyn, raised in Queens). Relocated now to Waxhaw, NC in 2016. Laurie studied Fashion Apparel at NY's Fashion Institute of Technology and worked along side designers such as Cynthia Rowley and Maggie Norris. Then went on to design/construct small projects in special occasion wear in my own studio near SilverCup studios in LIC, Queens NY. The name Bean & Dot was inspired by the nicknames of the two bookends in my creative journey- My Mom (Dot) and my daughter (Bean). Three generations of Brooklyn born ladies!
